Alexei Berteig studied screenwriting at the prestigious Canadian Film Centre Writer’s Lab, and is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. After moving to Beijing in 2003, he worked as a cinematographer, shooting commercials for Maybelline, L’Oréal, BMW, Maybelline, Porsche, and others. As a director, Alexei’s corporate clients include Four Seasons Hotels, Lexus, Mercedes and various Chinese brands. His International documentary credits include work for BBC, Discovery, National Geographic as well as Leonardo DiCaprio’s Before The Flood. Alexei was pulled back to Canada in 2016 to write and direct documentary projects for his own company, Berteig Imaging, as well as working as a Camera Operator on Film, Television and Reality productions in B.C. He and his wife currently live in Vancouver with their two daughters.
